Crafty Berlin

We had a great time in Berlin, we zoomed about on bicycles, went to flea markets, museums, galleries and Checkpoint Charlie.  Kay did numerous, successful hair workshops at ‘Class of Berlin’ in the Rock-a-Tiki Salon space. I worked at the very friendly and fun Craftz Tattoo . I was welcomed like an old friend and felt completely at home. I took it very easy and only worked a few days but did get to do a couple of fun pieces. Thanks to all the crew at Craftz  for looking after me and thanks to Berlin for being, well, Berlin!

Rain City

Well we had a great time while working in Rain City, Manchester. I did some fun tattoos and Kay did a Vintage Styling workshop for the Lindy Hop group.

The whole crew in this new studio were fantastic and very welcoming. The work coming out of here is also fantastic and if you are nearby (or even your not) it’s well worth seeking them out for a tattoo.

Thanks so much to all of you folks at Rain City and especially to Gre for your fantastic host skills and ,as ever, great company. Oh and thanks to Forbes for altering my laces and Kays soles……

I took it rather easy but here are a  few of the pieces I did there:

Stevey Returns

Mr Watson was back in again and had a chest panel added on to the first Japanese half sleeve I ever did – some years back now.

Phoenix Rising

Lili decided to cover her old black panther and Calvin and Hobbes tattoos – we bombed them with a nice Phoenix.

A Bird in Hand

I like Magpie.

Sparrow Not Swallow

I keep seeing traditional swallows being referenced as Sparrows, what’s that all about? This IS in fact a sparrow – sparrows are brown see.

Key to the Heart

Lexi was back in getting more of her garden bird forearm sleeve done. How cute is the Firecrest?

Burnt Reynolds

A Japanese style Phoenix finally completed….. I need to darken down the wind and clouds I feel.

…a hat from Kellet’s

A tattoo inspired by a line of poetry by Sarah’s gran.

3 Little Birds

Lexi came in with familiar reference for this….and a selection of her favourite Scottish Garden birds.  There’s more of this tattoo in the pipeline.
