End of a Year

So I’ve rested up over Christmas, got to know my new additions to my family (of the kitten variety) , and am ready to start the new year, which is shaping up pretty well already.

I ended last year with some nice tattoos, thanks to all my customers in Edinburgh, London, Stockholm, Brussels and Evian, hope to see some of you again this year. Here’s some of what I’ve been doing this past month.

Long Distance and Long Sittings

Last week at Lew and Danny both travelled up from down south to get tattooed in Edinburgh.

Lew sat for a whole day to complete his abstract geometric sleeve.

Danny stuck it out for two and a half days for his lady Odin and mandala half sleeve and chest panel, which I was really happy with the result of.

It’s interesting to note that the larger more complex projects are coming from clients travelling from down south, and I reckon it’s time that the Scots step up!

Scottish Tattoo Convention 2014

Last weekend was a busy one, tattoo talk with visiting buddies from around the globe, and a little bit of tattooing too.

The Scottish Tattoo Convention is always a friendly one, was great to be back after missing out last year while I was away travelling.

It was a full on weekend, I only booked in 2 pieces to give me plenty of time for chatting and a little time for judging – some very hard decisions to be made for best of show.

I made progress on Tom’s crazy aperture sleeve and gave his good lady some very sore feet.

Thanks to Jim and all the gang for putting on another great show.

There were a few late nights this week getting some other pieces done in the shop, after unpacking after the convention.

There’s a couple of pieces still in progress

Edinburgh Marriage and Beyond

Well Edinburgh was fantastic. I had a great time guesting back at Red Hot and Blue Tattoo with all of the guys there which is always going to be a home for me after so much time spent there before. Catching up with old clients and also meeting new as well as getting to do some fun tattoos in the process. It was an extremely busy time for me as I had the spectacular luck to have been back home to get married to my wonderful, beautiful partner Kay. She made me the happiest that I can ever be and was the most stunning, perfect bride. As I say I am the happiest I could be – thank you Kay I love you. x

Also thanks to all our friends and family for coming along to celebrate with us – you guys made the party!

As I mentioned I did some tattooing too while organising the wedding so here is a small selection:
