Melbourne Delight

Tacky title but I really can’t think of anything else to write……. Oh well. I’ve had the opportunity to do some fun work here in Melbourne and have actually photographed some.

First up is Sri Ganesh on Sandy – the photo’s didn’t come out so well but I liked this shot and it does show the detail so I thought I’d include it in this post.

Chris came in and had a bug mandal and bee done – I  loved doing this and hope he is happy with the result.

A lucky chance brought in this piece as Leonie was ill therefore I stepped in and redrew a sketch brought in by the customer.

Another piece of luck as Richie came in off the cuff at Tattoo Magic and I had him come in twice and we did these pieces – in the bottom photo the tattoo is a week old and almost all healed up.

Kapitan Voodoo aka Fat Knee Nik had this colour mandala jabbed on to his, later swollen, knee. I’ll get a healed shot of this soon with any luck as I’m going to be doing the other knee.

Amy had an islamic inspired mandala on her feet – she changed her mind halfway through and went without colour – no problem.

Kayci had a colourful seahorse with mandala done – it almost matched her hair at the time (not shown but believe me)…..

Sam had his first tattoo – ‘Eyes’ he said…..

Miss Cutie-Kills had a fun traditional mermaid doing. Nice and bright…..

Paul wanted a simple origami swan – nice one mate.

Hope Skull and Anchor

I got in to small details on these….

Annoyingly there is still a bit of stencil left on the hat band…..grr!

Catch Up

I’ve been planning my travels and have also been very busy at the shop. Here are some of the fruits of my labour.

All Seeing Owl

A funky owl to fill up Colin’s forearm space. Fun!

Skull skull skull

A day of the dead influenced skull. I hate taking pictures of under arm tattoos.

All Seeing Pineapple!

The fruits of knowledge. Wesley likes his food mysticism he also runs a club night in Edinburgh with his friends called the Green Door which plays a great mix of 50′s, 60′s  rock’n'roll and garage. It also offers a great retro 1930′s/40′s and 50′s hairstyling from Hairball Alley  for tips (so tip well)!  If you’re in town on the third Saturday of the month get down there. Plug over…..

It’s in the Eyes

Dom was back for more of his arm which is influenced by Thomas Hooper. There is still more work to do though.

Mandala

Dom brought in lots of Thomas Hooper reference for this piece – I myself am a fan of his work and am lucky enough to have a fair amount of tattoo work by him. I urge you to do so also! You can see his work by following the link on the blogroll list to the right.  Dom is booked in with Thomas in September – Lucky fella.

Anyway I drew up a Mandala based on what Dom had requested. I didn’t do the rose or band.
