Liverbirds and Traditional Swallows

I was lucky enough to have spent the better part of a week at Forever True Tattoo in Liverpool working alongside the inspirational and perfectly gentlemanly Richie Clarke, not forgetting the diamond geezer known as Paul on the front desk. The studio is a great place with the walls covered in great Traditional Western Style flash – much of it painted by Richie himself which gives the place a really classic feel. Both of the guys here went out of their way to be helpful and make a true welcome to their studio.

While I was there I got to do a few very fun pieces on some lovely clients all of whom I’d like to thank for coming along and getting tattooed. Here are a few of the pieces I did, some of which are Traditional Western Style which was great fun to do and much less strain on my eyes for sure! Oh yes – I also tattooed Richie’s palm which was an honour and may I say a pleasure? Ha ha…..

Little Mandalamaids and Cats Covens

This week was spent in beautiful Copenhagen in Denmark where I was working at The Sailors Grave with Zooki, Jesper  and of course Judd and Marija Ripley. They have a lovely bright spacious studio and  I was happily given all I needed to settle in after a friendly welcome. These guys and gal sure know how to knock out some top notch tattooing. I was kept busy doing more mandala and other patterned stuff. I got to catch up with an old pal Leigh who has relocated to Copenhagen and we also caught up with our pals from Skindred as they were passing through town on tour. Oh and of course we went to see the Little Mermaid statue…..

Here is a sample of the stuff I did whilst at the shop – thanks for looking.

London Tattoo Convention 2014

I was fortunate enough to work at the London Tattoo Convention this year for which I’d like to say thanks to Miki Vialetto and all of the crew. It was a last minute affair and consequently I didn’t have time to get a banner or much other stuff together to make my booth look nice but I rolled with it and knocked together a purposely näive banner and made the best of it. I haven’t done too many shows in the last few years but had  great time and was kept busy at this very well attended convention chatting to visitors to the booth and tattooing some great customers.  I  hardly had time to visit any other booths or the art exhibitions unfortunately which is a shame since there were so many friends and other sights to see that I missed out on – such is life.

My lovely wife was there assisting me  and taking photographs over the weekend as well as selling her own ‘Wee Dottle’ Hairflowers which were popular amongst the lady attendees. Here are a few photographs from over the weekend and some of the tattoos:
