Rain City

Well we had a great time while working in Rain City, Manchester. I did some fun tattoos and Kay did a Vintage Styling workshop for the Lindy Hop group.

The whole crew in this new studio were fantastic and very welcoming. The work coming out of here is also fantastic and if you are nearby (or even your not) it’s well worth seeking them out for a tattoo.

Thanks so much to all of you folks at Rain City and especially to Gre for your fantastic host skills and ,as ever, great company. Oh and thanks to Forbes for altering my laces and Kays soles……

I took it rather easy but here are a  few of the pieces I did there:

Vulture Carrion King

Dots and black and grey…..

Lay Lady Lay

Mr Carnie was having stuff added to his arm. Some wee fillers and a Hedy Lamarr influenced head – we love Hedy around here.

Monochrome

I really enjoy doing this stuff in monochrome, I’d like to do a lot more.

Monkey About

As previously mentioned I tattooed nothing but monkeys at the Scottish Tattoo Convention with all proceeds being donated to Primate Conservation and I was pleased to raise a fair sum – almost £800 in fact. I want to thank all those who got monkey tattoos and donated towards this fund and I’m sure the primates will thank you too. Here are some of the pieces – all Japanese influenced as no one chose the Western style ones (perhaps I should have put them on a flash sheet instead of the separate frames). Ook!

and not done at the convention but photographed there is Bip’s Bjork Snub Nose Monkey which is all healed and looking better for it!

Now The Pain Has Gone

It’s nice to see work when it’s all healed and settled. I was lucky enough to get photos of a few pieces this week.

Various Blackwork

Here are a few of pieces of black and grey work that I did in the last week or so…..

Wolfmother Shin

I put this on Connor’s shin – it looks a bit elongated in the pictures though……

Some Late Additions

I forgot to put these up a little while back and since i’m having a Christmas/New Year break I’ll put them up now…..

Geisha Time

I finished Davids geisha sleeve which is wrought with cover ups. It came out quite well though considering I hope. There’s still a bit of fine tuning to do still too.
